Field Service Technician - Sacremento, CA

Job Summary: Interfaces directly with customers to ensure success in the resolution of technical matters and product performance issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspects, installs, and services medical and related technical equipment in various medical institutions including emergency medical services, hospitals, free standing same day surgery centers, clinics, and medical research facilities.
  • Trouble shooting, diagnostics repair, calibration and maintaining equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and knowledge of manufacturers’ manuals and preventative-maintenance schedules.
  • Providing Preventive Maintenance.
  • Manage van, parts and inventory.
  • Build a positive customer relationship and deliver excellent service experiences.
  • Contributes to accident free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain daily schedule on the EMSAR Dispatching system to ensure communication between Management and Field Technicians.
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by Supervision/Management.
  • Available and willing to work days, evenings and weekends.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated top-notch customer relations skills.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Solid computer skills (MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail, timeliness, and paperwork completion.
  • Willing to work days, evenings and weekends.
  • Mechanical/Technical Capacity.
  • Problem Solving/Analysis.
  • Discretion


  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, supported by strong analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Expertise with computer skills and ability to comprehend and operate company software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, timeliness, and paperwork completion.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Valid Drivers; license and clean driving record.
  • Current Blood Borne Pathogens Training Certification.
  • Current on OSHA required immunizations.
  • Hepatitis B immunization.
  • Annual Tuberculin Screen
